Prince Georgians, I officially Endorse David Grogan to be our next Sheriff.. He ran a very strong campaign (4) years ago against (3) term incumbent, Sheriff Melvin High. He lost, because of the strong support Sheriff High received from The Political Machine in our County. Prince Georgians, we can do better than this. It's time for a change on the way we elect Candidates.. It is time for voters to began selecting and electing our choice for all elected officials to represent us.. We can no longer sit on the sideline and allow big corporations , special interest groups and political machines to pick candidates to represent us. In my opinion , David Grogan is the most qualified candidate to be our next Sheriff. Someone who is known throughout this County. Someone who grew up in Oxon Hill, lives in Bowie and have work tireless for past and current Politicians. Someone who graduated from Bowie State University with honors. Someone who had a successful career with the U.S. Marshall Service in the Justice Department. Someone who is a U.S, Marine Corps Veteran. Someone who is compassionate and have always supported senior citizens and work with our youth in schools as a mentor.. David Grogan is ready day one to take on the Sheriff Office and, unlike others, do not need on the job training.. David will not be indebted to no one except the voters who vote him into office. So, Prince Georgians, let's go to the polls in June 2022 and vote David Grogan to be our next Sheriff in Prince George's County...........Mayor David Chapman , Community / Political

I don’t write to you that often however I feel strongly that my endorsement is important at this time in our history with COVID 19 and the uptick in violent crime in the DMV, which brings me to my recommendation of Mr. David J Grogan for consideration for the Prince George’s County Sheriff. Mr. Grogan has served as a Deputy United States Marshal in the District of Columbia, has served in the United States Marine Corps honorably and has extensive knowledge in Police and Community relations. His knowledge of Criminal justice and Community safety is outstanding. He has great managerial skills that would make him a great leader representing the State of Maryland in a Public Safety capacity. Mr. Grogan’s character is above reproach. He has been an outstanding citizen in Prince George’s County who recently ran unsuccessfully for Sheriff but was well liked by the citizens and criminal justice community. Mr. Grogan is a supporter of your leadership and is well known as a great Fatherhood advocate with the 100 Fathers Inc. as well. Recommendation: As one of the founding member of the Prince George’s County Commission for Fathers, Men and Boys and the 2019 Diamond Award Recipient in Prince Georges County as well as a 2020 Hall of Fame Awardee for the DC Hall of Fame, I respectfully offer my endorsement and full support for David Grogan as Prince George’s County Sheriff.

Colleagues and Friends It is without hesitation that I write this endorsement letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. David Grogan to be considered for the position of Prince George’s County Sheriff. I have known Mr. Grogan for almost a decade and in our tenure of friendship, I can speak to his level faithfulness and commitment. However, it is through this previous work with the Department of Justice, U. S. Marshal and the Secret Service that I consider him to be the ideal candidate. His experience and discipline will bring a level of integrity that will eventually spill over into the men and women that will serve under his leadership while they protect and serve the citizens of Maryland. Again, I write this letter with high recommendations for Mr. David Grogan to be considered for the position of Prince George’s County Sheriff! If you need to contact me, please feel free via email and/or phone.

Neighbors, I am very proud to support and endorse David Grogan for the role of Prince George’s County Sheriff. I have known David for over twenty-five years now and continue to find him one of the more remarkable people I've ever met. I first met David when I graduated from the University of Maryland in 1991 and was attempting to become a United States Marshal. David, who was a Marshal at the time, took me under his wing and mentored me in becoming a potential Marshal, introducing me to the United States Marshal for the District of Columbia and his fellow co-workers at the time. I will never forget the amount of respect and admiration his co-workers and supervisors exhibited towards David. Despite David's most generous efforts at helping me to become a Marshal, I eventually accepted a position of police officer with the Prince George's County Police Department. Because of David's mentoring and encouragement, I was able to serve a very honorable and rewarding twenty-year career as a police officer and investigator with Prince George's County Police Department, retiring in 2013. I'm currently a contract background investigator with the Prince George's County Police Department and continue to consider David a friend and mentor. David possess all the qualities one would look for in a Chief. He served his country honorably through the U.S. Marine Corps, as well as, the U.S. Marshals Service. David is smart, kind, intelligent, passionate, patient, and has a heart to serve the community. I so believe in his leadership abilities that I have actively campaigned with him in his quest to become the Sheriff of Prince George's County over the last few years. I doubt if you'll find anyone with the combination of moral character, military and law enforcement experience, dedication, commitment, and natural leadership abilities of David Grogan. He is a diamond in the rough and more suited for the position of Chief of Police than anyone I can think of in all of my law enforcement career. David is someone who relates to all people and will make any county, municipality or community proud to say he's theirs!

Neighbors, My name is Frank Hall, and I am writing you in regard to my full support and endorsement of retired Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal David Grogan. Although I’m employed in the District of Columbia, I’m a lifelong Prince George’s County Maryland resident. I have known Mr. Grogan for over 30 years. I have witnessed him pursue a college degree, become an outstanding U.S. Marine and U.S. Marshal, play football with the heart of a lion and most importantly be a dedicated father and friend. Years ago, he spoke to my students at a career day event. I was absolutely beaming with pride as he evoked thought provoking questions from the students and staff! He definitely reminded me of my youth when I experienced positive law enforcement interaction in a school setting…. the Officer Friendly Program. He was and is the epitome of what a law enforcement officer should be, fair, courageous, approachable and noble, a modern-day Andy Griffin. I am more than certain that he will be an outstanding Prince George’s County Sheriff.

Neighbors, I am writing to express my since endorsement for David Grogan for the Prince George’s County Sheriff. I have known David Grogan for about 6 years and have nothing but positive things to say. David Grogan was my former Captain at the Administrative Office of the Courts building and under his leadership he was fair, professional, and courteous. I’ve learned a lot from him in a supervisor capacity and consider him to be a mentor. There is no doubt in my mind that David Grogan will be an excellent addition to the County Public Safety executive team.
